While the media fall all over themselves to expose the fact that Donald Trump’s 20-minute stint as a fry cook at McDonalds may have simply been a political campaign stop and not a sign that he’s picked up a side gig under the Arches, and while Newsweek launches full-scale investigations into whether a viral image suggests Trump may have actually landed himself on the starting lineup of the Pittsburgh Steelers or is simply an AI-generated meme, the leftist media has apparently been too distracted to notice the entirely staged “town hall” event featuring Kamala Harris that, as it turns out, was anything but.
Speaking of contrived Harris campaign events (other than this one, and this one, and this one, of course), event host Maria Shriver gave the game away Monday night when she responded to an audience member in Michigan who asked if they’d get to ask Harris questions during the Q&A, which had been billed as a “town hall,” usually meaning that onlookers get to bring and ask their own questions of a candidate.
“You’re not, unfortunately. We have some predetermined questions, and hopefully I’ll be able to ask some of the questions that might be in your head,” Shriver responded.
Just so everyone understands what happened here:

At a Kamala Harris event, billed as a “town hall,” a guest asked if they could ask questions.
Maria Shriver said no, the questions were “pre-determined.”
No doubt Harris already knew them too.

Which means it’s not a town hall.
The admission of “pre-determined questions” led many to openly wonder whether Harris herself had been provided a list of questions before the event.

Harris has been criticized for her heavy reliance on teleprompters in the past, and for her habit of rambling poetically when forced to give off-the-cuff responses without scripted help. But it seems the media are far more interested in getting to the bottom of whether Donald Trump tossed fries correctly than whether their hand-picked Democrat candidate can answer basic questions on the economy without cue cards.
