ICE Director Tom Homan might be among the best picks Donald Trump made when building his new administration. Not only because of his experience and actually willingness to follow federal law when it comes to booting out unlawfully present migrants - including dangerous criminals - but also thanks to his no-nonsense approach to dealing with leftist lunacy as they melt down over the idea of not letting millions of illegal aliens take over the country.

Which, thankfully for us, provides not only a sense of assurance, but also plenty of hilarity.

Case in point: when Homan absolutely owned a leftist reporter this week in defense of the Trump administration’s use of am 18th century wartime law to label Venezuelan gang members “enemy aliens” and kick their criminal tails off to a super max prison in El Salvador.

“What do you say to those who claim you’re using a 200-year-old law to circumvent due process?” the reporter asked Homan during a few moments with the press this week, referring to the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.

To which Homan bluntly responded, “An old law? It’s not as old as the Constitution, and we still pay attention to that, don’t we?”

Less and less these days thanks to liberals, unfortunately. But point well made.
