Donald Trump - who, I have it on admittedly very poor authority, is the most misogynistic, sexist, woman-hating, patriarchal pig this side of a Saudi - just named a woman as his Chief of Staff when he takes office in January, marking the first time in U.S. history that a woman will serve in the role of the president’s right-hand advisor.

Her name is Susie Wiles, and she’s been Trump’s chief campaign officer credited with running what turned out to be a popular, oftentimes hilarious, and ultimately a wildly successful bid for the White House. She’s a Florida-based strategist who has worked in GOP campaigns for decades, having served as Ronald Reagan’s campaign scheduler back in 1980.

"Let me also express my tremendous appreciation for Susie [Wiles] and Chris [LaCivita], on the job you did. Susie, come, Susie," Trump said of Wiles after securing his win early Wednesday morning. "Susie likes to stay sort of in the back, let me tell you. The ice baby. We call her the ice baby. Susie likes to stay in the background. She's not in the background.”

And if you listen very carefully over the din of all the left-wing banshees shrieking, you can faintly hear the sound of one more glass ceiling being shattered by a Republican.

I wonder how long it’ll take Vanity Fair and Vogue to feature her on their covers? Probably as long as it took them to ask Melania.
