Our culture is not okay.

A dispute between neighbors led to a woman being accused of animal cruelty after home security footage caught her violently kicking a small dog in her neighbor’s yard.

The whole thing apparently started last week, when Pittsburgh resident Albert Lopes said his neighbor ran over some plants in his yard with her car. The next day, the woman’s daughter and another female confronted Lopes and accused him of yelling at her mom. The altercation was caught on a home security camera positioned at the top of Lopes’ driveway, which shows the pair of black women approaching Lopes as he’s washing his car.

After a few minutes of back-and-forth screaming, during which Lopes repeatedly tells the women to get off his property before he calls the police, the younger woman simply strolls up to the dog and kicks it square in the gut while taunting, “Then I’m gonna kick your dog.” The pup goes flying several feet while yelping in pain.

“Yeah I kicked your dog. Yeah I sure did,” the woman then mocks as Lopez rushes to scoop up his pets. The two women then rush away down the street.

Lopes said his dog, who is a three-pound, 10-year-old Japanese Chin and Papillon mix named Gigi, suffered liver damage and a wound to her leg from hitting a nearby planter. She may also have a slipped disc causing pain in her neck, he added, saying he’s already had to take her to the vet three times since the incident.

Police said they’ve identified the women from Lopes’ footage but have not yet made any arrests.
