A gender-deluded Canadian man accused of stabbing his own children - one of whom barely survived the attack and is now on a feeding tube - has been released from jail pending trial, and now says he needs to focus on his own "mental health" before he can hold himself accountable for his actions.
For background, here’s the creep we’re dealing with here:

His legal, but probably-not-birth name is Alice Michael Joseph Attwood, and he’s a 35-year-old man from Alberta who believes he’s a woman (or the Joker - it’s not entirely clear). He also has a lengthy history of social media posts encouraging violence in support of “trans” people, railing against “fascism,” and making occult references. Like Antifa in really bad grease paint.
But on top of being a gender-deluded weirdo with bizarre makeup fetishes, he’s also apparently a homicidal maniac who was arrested on February 19 for reportedly attacking his two young children with a knife. Police say he wounded his 7-year-old son and stabbed his 8-year-old daughter in the throat, causing injuries severe enough to sever her windpipe land her on a feeding tube.

Journalist Andy Ngo reports for the Post Millennial that the family’s initial request to have Attwood held at a psychiatric facility following the attack was initially granted, but that he was released from the ward on February 25, less than one week after the stabbing. He isn’t set to appear back in court until March 13.
In the meantime, Attwood has been making numerous posts on social media about the incident, saying that while he’s “upset” about what he did, he’s focusing on his “mental health and finding the WHY to this happening.”
He also added that stabbing his own kids in the jugular “was nowhere near my 2025 bingo card,” and that he was very “hurt” by it.
That’s right - he was very hurt, despite his own esophagus still being entirely intact, unlike his daughter's.
"For obvious reasons I'm going to sit and stay silent on the locally viral rumors going around. I understand people's upset (trust it's not as high as my own) and I'm going to answer for what I did. When I can see the picture more clearly then I will be here to hold myself accountable as well," Attwood wrote in a Facebook post, according to Reduxx. "It's just...not the right time for that. I need to focus on my mental health and finding the WHY to this happening...which means not being online.”
Ngo reports Attwood also wrote in a post on Discord:
“On the psychology ward. I sort of had a break happen. My kids are OK, but I did sort of ... unconsciously stab Mia in the shoulder. I feel terrible. Then I had this feeling in emergency tonight that a ritual was taking place and people didn't even know it ... but I watched the whole thing unfold. I even saw an Indigenous queen. She was so regal. (Literal old lady with her son walking around.) All in my head of course, but it did ... kind of make me feel better about the whole thing.”
Not sure it makes anyone else feel better, including his children who're still currently recovering in the hospital. Or the rest of society, who're being told to accept and affirm these mentally ill freaks, even as they're being released on their own recognizance after stabbing their own kids.
