Deceit seems to be native to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), who has been known for being less than honest with her indigenous claims.

Warren has posted a link to her campaign fundraising page and on her social media asking for donations for LA firefighters and those “affected” by the region’s wildfires.

“Split a donation between the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and United Way of Greater Los Angeles,” her posts claim. “100% of your donation will go directly to these organizations.”

Except that isn't true.

Community Notes on X latched on to Warren’s post, stating that the links bring you to Democratic fundraising operation ActBlue. “They take 3.95% of all transactions. You can donate directly to these charities,” according to Community Notes.

In September, ActBlue was referred by Congress to multiple states’ attorney generals for investigation over ‘potential criminal activity’ following a congressional inquiry.

In October, it was reported the Treasury Department has found records of hundreds of transactions linked to ActBlue that have been flagged by banks as potentially suspicious.

“Those records could include evidence of money laundering, fraudulent or counterfeit use of credit or debit cards, wire transfer fraud, identity theft or other financial crimes flagged since Jan. 1, 2023, in Suspicious Activity Reports that financial institutions file with the federal government,” according to the New York Post.

Warren, of course, doesn’t disclose any of this information, despite her frequent calls for more government and  “greater transparency” over financial matters for consumers.

A lot of things are sadly on fire right now - Warren’s pants are among them.
