CNN Anchor Jake Tapper has been getting dragged all over the place for his new co-written book with Axios writer Alex Thompson, “Original Sin.”
The basis for the book is Tapper and Thompson calling out the federal government under former President Joe Biden for not being more forthcoming with his cognitive decline, as if Tapper and others in the establishment propaganda media couldn’t tell for themselves, since their eyes and ears must not have been working.
Well, sports analyst Stephen A. Smith had a few things to say about Tapper’s take and the overarching subject of his book, going so far as to call out the CNN host for his perceived ignorance of Biden’s mental decline on Wednesday's edition of "The Stephen A. Smith Show."
“‘Original Sin’ is supposedly highlighting how the information that was needed to be given wasn’t given,” Smith said. “That there was a concerted effort by members of the White House and beyond to hide the debilitating circumstances surrounding then-President Joe Biden.”
That was just the setup for Smith’s callout of both Tapper and Thompson.
“I can’t wait to talk to Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson,” Smith continued, “because I want to know, personally, what role Jake Tapper played in not reporting on certain information.”
Smith brought up the drubbing Tapper took at the hands of podcast host Megyn Kelly about the topic before summing up what he was trying to convey by bringing this issue up.
“My point to you is that we saw it. We saw it,” Smith added. “How did Jake Tapper not see it? And as he continues to speak about all of this, where’s his mea culpa? Because I don’t see it. I haven’t seen it yet.”
Smith basically is calling Tapper a liar for not just being forthright about being able to recognize Biden’s decline without having to receive a statement from the White House. At the very least, it seems as though he’s saying that Tapper and Thompson were complicit in covering for Biden over the years.
