The dedication was livestreamed by ABC News Live, and not ten seconds after Michelle Obama concluded what felt like an interminable speech, anchor Kyra Phillips and Washington Post journalist Mary Jordan wasted no time tripping over themselves to pay homage to the former First Lady.
“Didn’t it sound like a presidential speech?” Phillips gushed. “You know, so many people wanted her to run for president.”
