Afghan Leaders Thank America; Kerry Says Obama is Actively Considering Request to Adjust Troop Drawdown Timetable

Secretary of State John Kerry says a request by Afghan leaders for “flexibility” in President Obama’s timetable for the departure of U.S. troops is under active consideration, and will be a focus of talks at the White House on Tuesday. Meanwhile Afghan President Ashraf Ghani  and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah thanked America for the sacrifices made in their country over the past 13 years.
