Biden in Feb. 2013: ‘We Would Not Make it a Secret’ if US Was Holding Bilateral Talks with Iran

Vice-President Joe Biden told an international conference last February that the administration “would not make it a secret’ if it was holding bilateral talks with Iran, but “would let our partners know.” It later emerged that back channel bilateral talks in Oman had already been taking place the previous year, and continued through 2013. U.S. international partners were informed in September.
