Biden: US Will Invest $75 Million in ‘Countering Democratic Backsliding’ in Africa

President Biden told African leaders meeting in Washington that the U.S. will invest $75 million in “countering democratic backsliding” in Africa. He also said that the U.S. doesn’t “always get everything right – we surely don’t. And the work of democracy is never finished or never guaranteed.”
