'Broke' Woman Films Herself Spending $17 in Food Stamps on Sugary Drinks & a Sandwich

A woman who claims she's "broke" recently went viral after filming herself stopping by a Dollar General to buy lunch for her kids - where she proceeded to spend nearly $17 in food stamps on four individual sugary drinks, a licensed character fruit pouch, and one pre-made sandwich.

Taxpayers should not apologize for believing the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program should be used for supplemental nutrition assistance, and not someone's Gatorade slush fund.
