CNN's Chris Cuomo once again played Democratic strategist as he insisted that jobless benefits be extended promptly without offsetting spending cuts, which Republicans wanted.

Cuomo hammered the opponents of an unconditional extension -- Republicans -- for "holding hostage" the beneficiaries of the jobless benefits.
