Cuba Leads Opposition to UN Resolutions on Human Rights in Iran, Syria and North Korea

Cuba’s delegate led opposition Thursday to votes criticizing Iran, Syria and North Korea for human rights abuses, arguing that so-called “country-specific” resolutions were “politically motivated” and pledging that Cuba would vote against such measures targeting “friendly countries.”
