At a House Homeland Security Committee hearing Wednesday, a GOP lawmaker asked a senior DHS official about the importance of the president’s travel ban authority in the response to the COVID-19 outbreak. “There is no question that the use of that authority has bought us time,” acting Deputy Secretary Ken Cuccinelli replied.
