Eighteen Years Later, Jerusalem-Born American Citizen is Assigned a Country of Birth

Almost 18 years after first challenging State Department policy, the parents of a young man born in Jerusalem watched as the American ambassador in that city handed their son a U.S. passport which, for the first time, declared his country of birth to be Israel.
