[See NewsBusters for more.] In 1993, more than a decade before Dan Rather would fully disgrace himself as a partisan determined to take down George W. Bush, he fawned over then-First Lady Hillary Clinton’s efforts to nationalize health care. Twenty six years ago this week, on September 22, 1993, he interviewed Clinton and gushed: “Did you or didn't you find a time when you found yourself sort of thinking, 'I wonder how I can keep Bill from talking about health care?' Or was there a time when he just said, 'Hillary, I love health care, I'm into it, but can we please talk about something else?'”
