General Voices Skepticism About Taliban’s Willingness to Act Against al-Qaeda

Amid questions about the Taliban’s willingness to cut ties with al-Qaeda – in line with an agreement signed with the U.S. earlier this year – U.S. Central Command commander Marine Gen. Kenneth McKenzie said this week he does not believe the conditions have yet been met for a full withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan by next spring.
