GOP Senator Calls for Action to Preempt Bid by Obama to Bypass Congress on Global Climate Deal

Ahead of a major U.N. conference seeking a new global climate agreement, Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) is calling on Congress to preempt President Obama’s attempt to circumvent Senate advice and consent and to make it clear to the administration and foreign governments “that in America it’s the Congress, and not the president acting alone, that writes the checks.”
