HBO's John Oliver Mocks Phyllis Schlafly as Undesirable Wife

In one of his long and blustery comedic crusades, HBO host John Oliver was stumping for the Equal Rights Amendment, and recalling its history in the 1970s, down to its most prominent opponent, conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly. He showed a clip of Schafly thanking her husband Fred, and then joked that Fred surely loved his wife being out of the house for days at a time. Try that joke with the Clintons...
