Maine Democratic Senate nominee Graham Platner is facing another wave of backlash after more sexual assault allegations came out from a Politico report on Monday. Since the report went viral, many prominent Democrats, including Senators Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), have called for Platner’s withdrawal from the race. The liberal news hosts, including MS NOW’s Lawrence O’Donnell of The Last Word, have also received their marching orders from the DNC and predicted Platner will eventually drop out. But at the same time he spelled out doom for Platner, O’Donnell took the opportunity to indulge in his favorite hobby - bashing President Trump.

“One of the big differences between the Democratic Party and Republican Party is on display in Maine tonight, where Democratic Senate nominee Graham Platner is at the 'evaluating the path forward' stage of his campaign,” O’Donnell began the coverage, which lasted for a grand total of one minute and 38 seconds, buried deep within his opening monologue.

O’Donnell devoted only one sentence to the new allegations, which he sugarcoated as merely “sexual misconduct and aggression with a former girlfriend,” when the statements made by Jenny Racicot clearly described rape.
