Left-Wing NY Candidate to Sanders: ‘You Would Have Been the Nominee’ if the Establishment Didn’t ‘Jump You’

During a virtual discussion with Sen. Bernie Sanders on Wednesday, Rep. Rashida Tlaib said the “Squad” was getting bigger, and welcomed primary victories by two progressives who toppled establishment-backed incumbents. One of them, Jamaal Bowman, used the opportunity to tell Sanders that he would have been the presidential nominee, “if the Democratic establishment didn’t gang up on you and jump you.”
