On MSNBC, "Conservative" Jennifer Rubin Says Trump Admin is 'In The Business of Cruelty,' 'Trump and His Base Are in a Closed Universe'

"During Sunday's edition of AM Joy, "conservative" Washington Post blogger Jennifer Rubin slammed the Trump administration's response to the death of a 7-year-old girl in the custody of the Border Patrol: "these people are in the business of cruelty," which she argued "did result in a tragic death of the girl." Rubin added: "The big takeaway from this year is that Trump and his base are in a closed universe. They are a significant segment, unfortunately, of the country." Rubin closed her rant with a prediction that Republicans will have to "pay a price again in 2020 for this kind of behavior."
