During Wednesday's edition of Deadline: White House, host Nicolle Wallace and her panel reacted to a New York Times op-ed by an anonymous Trump administration official alleging that cabinet secretaries discussed invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from office. Wallace argued that the op-ed justifies "immediate Congressional hearings to find out who they (the cabinet secretaries ) were." Wallace later addressed one of her panelists, suggesting that Congressional Republicans had an obligation to remove President Trump from office: "I can't get it through my head, Jonathan Lemire, why Republicans don't want to protect the country from a President who is described by someone who works for him as being so unstable that his own cabinet talked about the 25th Amendment."
