Row Over Trafficking Report Deepens; Senate Committee Threatens to Subpoena Emails, Memos

With a senior State Department official declining to discuss with a Senate committee “internal deliberations” relating to the decision to upgrade certain countries in this year’s human trafficking report, its chairman is threatening to subpoena information if the administration fails to hand it over.
