According to the Saudi foreign minister, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman told President Biden during their meeting that the killing of Jamal Khashoggi was an “unfortunate and abhorrent” crime that the kingdom had responded to seriously, but that “these are issues – mistakes – that happen in any country, including the U.S.”
