State Dep’t Defends Abbas, Won’t Comment on His Silence After Attack

State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki on Thursday sidestepped an invitation to comment on Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ silence in response to the killing of an American baby in a Jerusalem attack, or to respond to Israeli claims that some recent Abbas remarks have incited violence.
