Jon Stewart continued his efforts to drag Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed across the finish line on Monday’s edition of The Daily Show on Comedy Central. Echoing a recurring theme on the show, Stewart tried to pass off concerns about El-Sayed and his radical associations as “Islamophobia.”
Stewart played a clip of Trump at a recent rally where he declared, “I'm here to keep a jihadist Muslim Brotherhood member from becoming a United States Senator.”
Apparently, Stewart thinks “Muslim Brotherhood” and “Muslim” are the same thing because he reacted by pulling out a cigarette lighter and waving it around as if he was at a concert, “Oh, shit! Oh! He's playing ‘Scary Muslim’ from 2016! Oh, shit! Oh, ‘Scary Muslim!’ Yeah! Woo! Woo! I love the hits! Do ‘Sharia Law!’”
