CNN's Piers Morgan showed a sharp double standard this past week in how he questions conservative and moderate presidential candidates. In an August 15 interview with Tea Party darling Rep. Ron Paul (R-Tex.) Morgan asked Paul if he would soften his "extreme" views to get elected.

In contrast, Morgan used the figure of the "intransigent" Tea Party as a way for moderate GOP candidate Jon Huntsman to distance himself from the movement and criticize it, in an August 22 interview.
