In early February, a health expert testifying on Capitol Hill said travel restrictions like the one put into place for travel from China days earlier were ineffective. At the end of that month, NIH’s Dr. Anthony Fauci lauded the decision: “If we had not done that, we would have had many, many more cases right here that we would have to be dealing with.”
