Trump Ally Gaetz Calls for AUMF Repeal: ‘Instead of Ill-Fated Adventurism, Let’s Put America First’

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), a staunch ally of President Trump, was one of 11 Republicans voting Thursday to repeal the 2002 authorization for the use of military force in Iraq. He suggested that doing so was in line with the president’s own “America first” inclinations and desire to end “forever” wars.
