Ukraine’s ambassador to the Human Rights Council urged members on Monday to support her call for an “urgent debate” during the month-long session that opened in Geneva, saying it was the council’s “duty to demonstrate its credibility and relevance.” Her Russian counterpart opposed the move, and called for a vote.
