At UN Meeting Near Auschwitz, Israel Calls for Minute’s Silence; Cuba Responds by Requesting One for Palestinians

Cuba’s delegate at a U.N. meeting near the site of a Nazi extermination camp in Poland objected Tuesday to an Israeli request for a minute’s silence for Holocaust victims – then promptly called for another one, for the Palestinians.
