In UN Vote on Ukraine Invasion Anniversary, Two-Thirds of the ‘Global South’ Vote in Favor

The U.N. General Assembly on Thursday passed by a large margin a resolution demanding that Russia “immediately, completely and unconditionally withdraw all of its military forces from the territory of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.” Ukraine’s foreign minister noted that many member-states in Africa, Asia, and Latin America voted in favor, and said this showed that support for his country went far beyond the West alone.
