US Envoy to UN Says Russian Stance on Crimea Shows ‘More Imagination Than Tolstoy or Chekhov’

U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Samantha Power drew a sharp reprimand from her Russian counterpart Wednesday after saying his stance on Crimea “showed more imagination than Tolstoy or Chekhov” and comparing Russia to “a thief.”
