With Republicans taking control of the House, Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s time with the gavel is over and California Congressman Kevin McCarthy won the GOP’s nomination to be the next speaker. This didn’t sit well with the cackling coven of ABC’s The View on Thursday as they mourned for Pelosi, and co-host Joy Behar decried the constitutional process of redistricting (not gerrymandering) for Republican victories.
“So Republicans are officially back in control of the House by a slim margin. Kevin McCarthy is salivating to be the new speaker, and he wasted no time unveiling the GOP agenda,” Behar huffed at the top of the show.
They then played an edited collection of McCarthy soundbites to show that the GOP agenda would be to hold the Biden administration to account.
