As New Zealanders on Friday mark the one-week anniversary of the worst mass shooting in the country’s history, the state-owned radio and television network will broadcast live the Islamic call to prayer, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced. People are also being encouraged to wear a headscarf as a “show of solidarity” with the Muslim community.
