At a White House press briefing on April 28, former Mumford & Sons musician and podcast host Winston Marshall asked whether his fellow British citizens could apply for political asylum in the U.S. if threatened with jail over free speech. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt praised Marshall for raising the issue and promised to pass it on to President Donald Trump.
