Leave it to someone on The View to defend something so morally repugnant most of society was on the same page against it. In a very un-Disney move, on Monday, ABC moderator Whoopi Goldberg came out in support of cheating former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot and their extramarital affair. She argued that “sometimes you just can’t help it,” and “she’s not the head of HR in the bed.”
Ahead of Goldberg’s defense, co-host Sara Haines was raising the valid concern that “a CEO of a company should never be dating the head of HR.” “These are the people that are supposed to implement company policy” and “There's a power dynamic,” that would set an example to their subordinates.
“Sometimes you can't help who you want to get with! Sometimes you just can’t help it!” Goldberg brazenly interjected. Co-host Sunny Hostin, was shocked to hear Goldberg’s proclamation, exclaiming: “Oh no! The head of HR though?!”
