Under fire for alleged deference to China, the head of the World Health Organization on Wednesday offered an explanation for WHO’s widely-criticized January 14 tweet highlighting China’s claims that there was “no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission” of the coronavirus that had emerged in Wuhan late the previous year.
